Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing gift of farming inputs to poor farmers. In our previous work, our focus was in the provision of small garden tools, farming equipment, vegetable seeds together with technical assistance to farmers. We have shifted gears during this time and focus our support to the provision of fruit tree seedlings to farmers. Fruit trees provide income at 4 years of age and there is a perennial lack of fruit tree seedlings in the area so farmers are unable to expand their fruit tree farms. The farming system that we explained to farmers is what we call agroforestry or the mix of trees and cash crops in order for farmers to have food while the trees are growing. This reporting period we were able to distribute 300 fruit tree seedlings and we will provide more in the coming months. Again thank you very much.

 Dear Friend,

Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project providing food security and sanitation in Mindanao. In previous reports, we have focused our work in sanitation like providing latrines for poor families as well as developing water systems in far-flung areas. Our sanitation initiatives have been paused due to the Covid-19 problem and because food security has taken center stage in our work, being the most needed by the villages we are working with. This reporting period, we have shifted our effort to also include sanitation especially the building of toilets for very poor families in order to prevent the spread of diseases in the area. We champion water-based toilets as well as what we call "tree toilet" or one that do not require water and wherein when the pit is full, the farmer will be able to plant in or near it fruit or timber tree. We have started producing toilet bowls which is very much needed during this reporting period. Of course, this work is integrated to our food security initiatives which is on-going. Again thank you very much for supporting us.

 Good day to all. We are gearing-up for more work by next year as we intend to tackle carbon credit programs by international organizations via the growing of trees and care of the environment. We are very new in this but there are lots of resources in the internet. We hope that we will be able to partner with a suitable organization in order to realize our dreams.

 Scaling-up Sanitation Marketing Initiative

We are experts in implementing low-cost sanitation initiatives with track-record of successful implementation in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Specifically with the World Bank - funded Water and Sanitation Marketing Pilot Initiative implemented in the whole country. We led in the design and implementation of low-cost toilets applicable in most settings, i.e. flooded zones, areas without water and highland zones. We partnered with the Water, Agroforestry, Nutrition and Development Foundation in implementing our initiatives. For the year 2023 we intend on scaling-up implementation as we found-out that toilets are very much lacking in poor villages resulting to the spread of water-borne diseases.

Thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing relief for artisans and small farmers affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This reporting period we are happy to report that the effect of the pandemic in the communities has lessened with very few people affected. Government and others are very keen on their campaigns for vaccination and social distancing in order to stem the effect of the coronavirus. This reporting period we are able to promote small livelihood activities by the conduct of face to face trainings among our beneficiaries. With the help of other agencies we were able to conduct 1 training during this period and we hope to conduct more in the future. Hoping for your continuing support to this initiative.  Dear Donor,

Thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative tree growing in order to save the planet. This reporting period we are happy to report that our tree growing activity using agro-reforestation as a strategy is working. Agro-reforestation means that we don't only concentrate on tree planting but also include the growing of food crops like vegetables and the raising of farm animals like chickens and goats. We were able to provide for the tree growing needs of 170 farmers during this period and we hope to increase the number in the coming months. We are also happy to report that we are connecting with organizations involved in climate mitigation and carbon capture using tree growing as a mode. This is a new venture for us and we hope that we will be able to improve our skills and seek technical assistance from experts. Again thank you so much for your help.
