This reporting period we focus our attention to helping poor farmers who are parents of vulnerable children to grow their own herbal plants and then for a local association to engage in processing them into herbal tea. This provides multiple benefits for the user and give the beneficiaries income in which to provide food for their children. Most often herbal products abound in the farm but they are unattended to and has no value. However processing them into tea holds tremendous value especially during this time with the pandemic having no cure in sight and people are very aware to boos their health. Hoping that this initiative will prosper for the betterment of the rural areas.

This project is very crucial especially during this time when the Coronavirus pandemic has no cure yet. We are praying that we will have a ray of sunshine in the future. We are implementing starting last month a backyard vegetable gardening initiative focusing on the elderly and their families. It is indeed disheartening to note that the elderly is one of the most affected group in this pandemic. We are able to assist with vegetable seedlings a total of 720 elderly and counting as we continue with the distribution. Hoping for your continuing help.

The project has provided farmers in our locality with much-needed pump-priming support especially during this time with the entry of the Coronavirus disease even to remote, rural communities as a result of people not heeding the call of local authorities to observe health protocols such as wearing face masks and not to congregate in public places. During this reporting period as we receive a small support only for this project we decided to provide a family with the gift of pig-raising project so that they will be able to sustain their livelihoods with the addition of piglets from the female pig. Hoping for your additional support to this project so that we are able to expand and support other families.

This reporting period, we are starting to bring farmers located near our demonstration and training farm to visit and learn our improved farming techologies that they will be able to scale-up and apply in their own farms. The idea is for them to see and believe because most often just telling them is not enough. We use local transport in order to bring them to the farm and for them to go back. We aim to improve their farming situation using this method. During this reporting period we are able to bring 130 farmers for a farm visit. Hoping for your continuing support.

 Supporting disaster recovery efforts.

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing safe sanitation to poor families. This reporting period we focus our assistance to families who were affected by the series of earthquakes happening in the Southern Philippines. The earthquake and its aftershocks has rendered so many families in several municipalities homeless. Those whose houses are still intact fear that these will collapse anytime so they are opting to stay in tents. With the assistance and partnership of other local NGO's we distributed hygiene kits to 533 school children holding classes in makeshift classrooms made of tents and bamboo framing. They are in makeshift tents because they fear that their school buildings will collapse anytime.
